Dealing with a bad boss

You are demotivated. You are frustrated. You find the things going tough. The interaction sessions that you have with your boss makes you blow cold. He takes all the credit for your work, does not have one word of appreciation and gives every meeting that you plan with him a miss. He is a bad boss and this is a challenge which most of the workers face. No matter whatever happens to be the character of your boss, hereby are some tips to deal with a bad boss.

·         First and foremost, you talk to your boss. Tell him what you need from him in terms of direction,  support and guidance. You would need to tell him exactly on what you need from him. Telling him  that he is a bad boss is going to be counterproductive and will not help you to achieve the goals as  well.

·         Seek a mentor from the other high level managers with the support of your own manager. This is  bound to enlarge your experience in terms of opportunity

·          If you have taken these necessary actions and they have not worked, then go and meet the manager    of your boss. You can also go to the human resource department and seek their advice. Do take into    consideration that your current boss is not going to forgive you, so think properly before you are  planning such an action

·        If nothing works, then you can seek the help of co-workers who are in such a situation.
